about this blog

So many times I have wondered back on when the first day of snow was, or when did the snow finally disappear, or if we had a sunny/warm summer, when did the first flowers appear in spring? . . . I have created this blog to document for my own curiosity what our weather patterns are like. Maybe some others are also interested . . . Each week I plan to post a picture taken from the balcony and also track what the temperature has been like. Should be interesting . . .

About Me

My photo
Barb
I'm a Canadian girl married to my Finnish husband for 17 years. We spent our first 11½ years together in Canada where our 3 sons were born. They are now 16, 13 and 10 and have dual Canadian-Finnish citizenship. We have lived in Finland for almost 6 years. Two years ago our family grew through international adoption - we adopted a little girl from St. Petersburg, Russia. She is now 8 years old and has both Finnish and Russian passports. While this makes for interesting travel and border crossings, we've got a pretty good chance of always having a team to cheer for in the World Ice Hockey Championship final!
