Today started out foggy until about 11 am, but then it turned beautiful. It was about 17C mid-afternoon. Since Sunday, we have had cool mornings~8C and warm afternoons.

Waaay behind on posting pics – got sidetracked after the trip to Canada . . . .

This summer was very warm – it broke many records. We had the pool up, as you can see in the bottom left corner of the photo. A few days ago, Stefan used the tractor to get rid of all the reeds down in the water – it looks much different than before. You can see Autumn is upon us – the Birch tree on the left is sporting some yellow leaves. The seeds have been falling since the first week in August. Although it was warm (18C) last week when school started, today was only 8C when the kids left for school today.

You can’t tell from this photo, but it snowed for a few hours today. It was even sticking for awhile. Today was hovering around zero, but yesterday was really warm – the thermometer in my van read 15C when I was leaving work in the afternoon.

I’ve been super busy, so I haven’t had much time to keep daily accounts here . . . the photo is late being posted because Sam used the camera at school and then I couldn’t find the cord . . . The temperature has been between 4C and 8C pretty much all week.

The temperature has been about 4C – 7C every day lately. It’s amazing how unbelievably fast the snow has been melting. The patio is now swept, and the wooden tiles are back in place. The lounge pads were brought out of the garage today:->

I’ve been bad at updating here . . .  suffice it to say that the weather is warmer (averaging+5C) and things are melting . . .

So, I’ve been posting pics every 8 days . . . not sure what’s up with that . . . . I was away skiing at Vuokatti last weekend with the school (and my 4 kids, of course). Stefan said the weather here had been warm and the snow had started melting. We got home Sunday night (March 28), and the temp dropped and it snowed overnight. Then it snowed again on Monday and again on Tuesday . . . the temp hovered around freezing. On Wednesday, it started getting warmer. The last 3 days, the temp has been around +10C and the snow is melting at an alarmingly rapid rate:-> I’m not gonna complain about the mud . . .

Not much change yet, despite the fact that it’s been warming up . . .  the temp is hovering around freezing during the days, but gets as low as between –15C and –20C during the nights because the skies are so clear (I’m guessing).

I’m a day late with this photo . . . It was –7C for the most part of the day . . .

18.03.2010: –4C and overcast, and then it started snowing again in the afternoon. By evening it was snowing hard and the wind was blowing like crazy. It was hard to see the road when we were driving to town for soccer because of all the blowing snow and snow drifts . . .

The temperature is –5C at midday. What you can’t really see in the photo is that it’s snowing . . . very fine snowflakes, but snowing heavily . . . the wind is blowing pretty strongly too, so the flakes are going somewhat sideways . . .

03.03.2010: -5C and snowing all day . . . VERY windy . . . there are snow drifts all over . . . the snow outside the back door was to Stefan's knees when he put the dog out this morning . . .

04.03.2010: -4C and snowing pretty much all day . . . windy again . . . the snow drifts on the road in some places are so bad, only one car can get through at a time
